The school are taking a group of 17 pupils on a short tour of Germany from 30th May to 4th June where they will be meeting up with a German Suzuki group and performing in several concerts.
Springboard are delighted to announce that they have sponsored the tour to help the school cover travel and accommodation costs.
We wish them every success with their tour and we look forward to hearing all about it when they return.
Springboard sponsor RGS Worcester in the Land Rover 4×4 In Schools Challenge
Springboard are delighted to announce that we are supporting Team Pinnacle from RGS Worcester in the 2016/17 Land Rover 4×4 In Schools challenge.
The Land Rover 4×4 in Schools Technology Challenge requires students to build a radio controlled four-wheel drive (4×4) vehicle to the specifications provided by the International Rules Committee. It must successfully navigate and complete obstacles on an off-road test track which is just as demanding as a real off-road situation.
Team Pinnacle took part in the National final at Silverstone on Wednesday 28th March where they were assessed on verbal presentation, engineering skills and, most importantly, driving. We are pleased to say that they were awarded 3rd place at the Nationals and are now through to represent the UK at the World finals which will be held at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi.
Good luck in the World finals Team Pinnacle!
Springboard help JB Kind raise funds for Burton Stroke Club
Springboard were delighted to sponsor a hole at JB Kind’s charity Golf day fundraiser where 36 players from businesses across the Midlands gathered at Branston Golf and Country Club to raise £2600 for Burton Stroke Club.
Outgoing Chairman of Burton Stroke Club, Colin Williams commented: “Raising more than two and a half thousand pounds is an absolute fantastic total and will be put to good use by the club. I’d like to say thank you to everyone who has donated money, time or merchandise to the Golf day and to all those who gave up their time to attend and raise money for Burton Stroke Club.”
JB Kind’s Chris Wood said “We are thrilled to have exceeded our fundraising target but the best news for Burton Stroke Club is that we haven’t finished yet! JB Kind nominated the club as its main charity for 2016 so we will continue to raise money for them throughout the rest of the year.”
Springboard end season on a high
Four Oaks Under 10s football team, sponsored by Springboard, finished the season on a high by lifting the Walsall Under 10s Cup.
An outstanding run through the knock out stages led to a semi-final appearance, with the boys demolishing their opponents 6 – 0.
If there was any doubt that the team had peaked, it was immediately put to bed in the final with a crushing performance and the team lifted the cup with a 5 – 1 victory!
Well done boys!
